...una biblioteca es un gabinete mágico en el cual hay muchos espíritus hechizados. Despiertan cuando los llamamos; mientras no abrimos un libro, ese libro, literalmente, es un volumen, es una cosa entre las cosas.      - Emerson

Pamela Conroy in Chicago sent the delightful idea that follows.  Something we can never have too much of, folks, are excuses to meet new friends:

I was wondering if anyone on the list is planning on coming to Chicago for BookExpo in June. They are having a Spanish language pavilion for the first time this year.  Exhibits are open:

Friday, June 2:  9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Saturday, June 3:  9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Sunday, June 4:  9:00 am - 4:00 pm

The BookExpo website is at:  http://www.bookexpoamerica.com/mainmenu.asp

Also, if anyone is coming for ALA, perhaps us SOListas could have an informal gathering.  I live in Chicago and would be happy to help organize something for either conference.

Saludos,

Pam
